about

Thank you for paying attention to my music and my work. This unpretentious album asked me for conviction and will, I hope, be a first step in the development of something.

Here are some brief explanations of the songs. Of course, your interpretation will do the rest, and it is what is the richest.

"The Tone of the Waves" is a pocket piano melody composed in Finistère, which seeks to be as minimalist as possible to reflect the crashing of the waves on the pier.

"Unfolding Spirals" is a rather edgy offshoot of a spiral in a lighthouse on the Ile de Ré. This lighthouse it is at the end of the island, but in fact all the lighthouses and all the spirals are equal. So you might find a link to the deep symbolism of the Spiral archetype here.

"The Implicate Order of the Sea" is analog and modular generative piece of music, with no structure of its own, that even resonates with my dreams of reading David Bohm.

“The Secret of the Golden Flower” relates to an archetype of Carl Jung that has always fascinated me.

"The Boat of the Sun" is a brief story of a movement towards light and the hope that this movement generates. It has been somehow inspired by Egyptian music or views.

"Chonyi Bardo - from Earth to Space" is the musical transcription of Bardo No. 5, which is the evolution towards complete consciousness. A world by itself and a tribute to Jean-Pierre Schnetzler, a humanist, a scientist and a tireless seeker of truth.

"Laïlah" is a loving tribute to Miyazaki and my young daughters who devour his films.

"Arkhê" is a piece that seeks to infuse the fantastic mystique of Caza, and his extraordinary imaginaries.

"Six Explorations of the Bardo Thödols" is a long story...that of an unfinished piece, quite pharaonic, and in which I have not found (yet!) any stylistic unity. In addition, an introspection of the six Bardos, and a thought for the soft voice of my daughters who are somewhere in the scene with lyrics.

"The Transmigration" is a tribute to Nick Drake, involuntary and pure genius, who has guided and accompanied me so many times, and who helped us with his melodies beyond life.

Thanks to Elodie, Anna, Romane, my family, my friends, and the benevolent and humanistic people of everyday life.

A heart thought to my friend Jean-Pierre Lefebvre, who teached me - "I live in my own place - have never copied anyone even half, and at any master who lacks the grace - to laugh at himself - I laugh."
